Anaril is a High Elf scout who spends all his time in the Blue Fig Bakery. He is an accomplished tracker and hunter, and so is a candidate for recruitment by the Rangers Guild.
Anaril seems to have little to do; he just eats cakes all day from open to close. After being recruited by the Rangers Guild, he moves to Anvil to take up residence in the new guild house. He eats breakfast for two hours from 8am to 10am, then wanders about the area all day. At 8pm, he'll eat dinner for another two hours, then resume wandering for the rest of the night.
Anaril wears a set of levelled heavy armor and is armed with a levelled blunt weapon; he carries a ginger treacle cake and a moderate amount of gold.
When first approached as part of the Rangers Guild quest New Recruits, he'll express surprise at being asked: "You want me to join the Rangers Guild? Why?" It takes little to convince him to sign up, though - apparently his time spent at the bakery is really boring, and he's looking for more excitement and the chance to do good. If you talk to him after he moves to his new home, he'll thank you for his new job: "Oh, I remember you. You're the one they sent to hire me. I'm doing well thank you. And thank you for this opportunity. I feel more like I belong somewhere now thanks to you and the guild."
