Torro

Torro is an Imperial knight who lives in a small house in Bravil. He serves as a member of the city watch.

Torro gets up at 2pm every afternoon and goes to sit outside The Lonely Suitor Lodge and keep watch for a few hours. At 5pm, he goes to the Swamphole for dinner, then he spends the rest of the night drinking. At 3am, he goes to Melyssa's house for an early-morning tryst, then heads home at 6am to crawl into his own bed.

He wears a chain shirt, pants, leather gauntlets, and steel-capped leather boots, and is armed with a longsword. He carries a shirt with suspenders and thick cowhide shoes for his off-duty hours, 3 apples and 10 pieces of cheese for snacking, and a key to Melyssa's house.

Torro's house is located on the northeastern corner of the southern island, on the upper level. It is basically one large room, divided up by moveable screens and a permanent wall, with a small bedroom tucked in one corner. The entry area is blocked off from the main room, which has his dining table, some shelves, a fireplace, and a bench. Torro isn't much of a housekeeper - dirty dishes and empty bottles cover the table the floor around the main table.

Torro is insecure, particularly when it comes to his girlfriend: "Yes, dare to challenge me, scum! I am an officer and representative of the law and order in Bravil." If you're male, he might tell you: "So, you are an adventurer?! If you think the ladies fall for that, you just keep your hands off Melyssa or you find yourself in your greatest adventure of all times."

If you ask about Marwen, he says: "Do you think I fear Marwen? I don't. I really not." (though his tone belies his words). If you ask about Ma Syd Jun, he'll tell you: "Ma Syd Jun has one sister, quite as mad as him. No clue what they want in Bravil, but wouldn't wonder if they just fell for the nice panorama."
