Saint Felms the Bold is the Dunmeri patron saint of Butchers and Fishmongers. A fierce warrior, he slew many Nord invaders and drove them from Morrowind. He could neither read nor write, instead being blessed by receiving inspiration directly from the lips of the Tribunal and the voice of Blessed Almalexia in his head.[1][2] Felms was later canonized by the Tribunal, and shrines to him could be found in Tribunal temples. His cleaver is now a prized relic of the Tribunal Temple.[3]

When close to death, Sotha Sil placed Felms' soul into a modified black soul gem which was then brought to the Asylum Sanctorium and installed in a giant factotum body to make him immortal.[4] Unfortunately, the process eventually drove him to madness, which manifested as agitation, a single-minded focus on fighting and conquests, and mood swings including outbursts of disdain, frustration, and anger.[5] His soul was released from the factotum in 2E 582, and kept safe in the black soul gem while he rested.[6]

All Temple shrine offerings grant cures of common diseases, of blight diseases, and of afflictions of poison. Offerings made to the shrine of Saint Felms additionally grant Felms' Glory, for greater skill in restoring magics.[7][8] Additionally, rings enchanted in the name of Felms were commonly used in Vvardenfell.[9]

During the Ordinator vestment routine, initiates recite a prayer to St. Felms as they drape the blue prayer stole, known as retheles, over the ordinator's shoulders.[10]

In 3E 427 a Buoyant Armiger carried the Cleaver of Saint Felms into battle against ash vampires on the northeastern slopes of Red Mountain and died.[11] The cleaver was subsequently recovered from there for the Temple by the Nerevarine.[3]
