Thorstad Place (also simply called Thorstad[1] and potentially named Mold)[nb 1] is a settlement found in the north-central part of the province of Hammerfell, found west-southwest of the city-state, Skaven.[2]
HistoryEdit
The earliest mentions of Thorstad Place date it to the mid-First Era, when it marked the westernmost point of Verkarth's kingdom. The Gray Host laid claim to Thorstad Place and everything in between it and the eastern city, Elinhir. Their power brought the attention of Empress Hestra of the First Empire, who launched a large-scale invasion on the Gray Host. Their conflict culminated in a siege on the Bangkorai Garrison, where the Gray Host was defeated. After their capital was razed to the ground, all of central Hammerfell and Thorstad Place was liberated.[3] Pots from Thorstad contained the remains of the Gray Host and were instrumental in their brief revival in the mid-Second Era.[1]
During the Imperial Simulacrum in the late Third Era, the village of Thorstad Place was an active settlement. It was ruled by Lady Lhovim-e and it had a rivalry with Riverview and Verkarth City.[4] It was neighbored by several settlements, including Verkarth City to the east, Vulnim Gate to the south,[2] and High Rock to the north, toward Wayrest.[5]
