Flame Atronach

"Fire salts are the crystalline compound that precipitates from elemental fire in solution. Such residues may be collected from the remains of fire atronachs that have been banished from the mortal plane."

Fire Salts are the physical essence of Flame Atronachs, which can be collected from their corporeal remains after you have dispatched them back into Oblivion.

Fire Salts is one of only two ingredients in vanilla Morrowind which can be used to create Resist Frost potions, the other ingredient being Black Lichen. The Bloodmoon expansion adds five other ingredients with a Resist Frost effect.
