- Bone Shield: Surround yourself with a whirlwind of bones, gaining a damage shield that absorbs up to [4800 / 4852 / 4905 / 4958] damage for 6 seconds. This ability scales off your Max Health. An ally near you can activate the Bone Wall synergy, granting the ally and up to 5 other allies a damage shield equal to 30% of their Max Health for 6 seconds.
- Spiked Bone Shield: Surround yourself with a whirlwind of bones, gaining a damage shield that absorbs up to 4958 damage for 6 seconds and returns [85 / 90 / 95 / 100]% of direct damage absorbed back to the enemy. This ability scales off your Max Health. An ally near you can activate the Bone Wall synergy, granting the ally and up to 5 other allies a damage shield equal to 30% of their Max Health for 6 seconds.
- Bone Surge: Surround yourself with a whirlwind of bones, gaining a damage shield that absorbs up to [4958 / 5012 / 5067 / 5121] damage for 6 seconds. This ability scales off your Max Health. An ally near you can activate the Spinal Surge synergy, granting up to 6 allies a damage shield that absorbs up to 30% of their Max Health for 6 seconds and Major Vitality, increasing their healing received and damage shield strength by 12%.
Bone Shield grants a damage shield, protecting you from all damage that scales on your Maximum Health. An ally may activate the Bone Wall synergy, giving up to six nearby allies a damage shield equal to 30% of their Max Health. The Spiked Bone Shield morph causes a portion of your absorbed damage to be returned to your enemies. Alternatively, Bone Surge costs less, and gives your allies the Spinal Surge synergy instead, which also increase their healing received while it is active.

- Spiked Bone Shield: This ability's damage return has been slightly increased.
- This synergy can no longer be stacked when activated by multiple casters.
- Bone Shield I: This synergy can no longer be activated by the caster.
- Bone Shield now costs Stamina and grants a ward that absorbs up to 30% the maximum health value of the caster in Physical damage.
- The Synergy for Bone Shield now affects up to four targets, preferring targets with lower health.
- Activating this ability will now result in the correct visual and audio effects.
- Fixed an issue with the Bone Shield Synergies where they would fail to target other player characters using the Synergies.
- Bone Surge: This ability changes the Synergy to grant the Minor Vitality buff instead of granting spell power.
- Spinal Surge (synergy): Fixed an issue so this synergy now correctly lasts for 10 seconds.
- Updated the visual effects for Bone Shield and both morphs.
- Fixed an issue where the damage shield from this ability was only absorbing 3% of the damage done.
- Fixed an issue where recasting this ability would not refresh the damage shield value.
- Fixed an issue where some ranks of this ability were absorbing all types of damage, rather than just physical damage.
- Fixed an issue where the player character that activated the synergy would occasionally not get a damage shield, and other allies would instead. The ability synergy now has a unique icon as well.
- Spiked Bone Shield: The damage from this ability is no longer reduced by Battle Spirit as it scales off incoming damage, which is already reduced.
- Increased the activation range from the Bone Wall and Spinal Surge synergies to 3.5 meters from 2.5 meters.
- This ability and its morphs now absorb all damage instead of just physical damage.
- Increased the synergy activation radius from this ability and its morphs to 4 meters from 3 meters.
- Bone Wall and Spinal Surge (synergy)
- The prompt will now be available up to 6 seconds after Bone Shield is cast, even if the Bone Shield caster's damage shield is removed.
- Grants a damage shield for 100% of your Max Health for 6 seconds, instead of 60% of your Max Health for 10 seconds.
- Developer Comments: We've shortened the duration of this damage shield to match the duration of all other damage shields in the game, but increased the value of the shield to compensate.
- If an ally uses the synergy and applies the damage shield to you, you will now also be placed on cooldown for that synergy.
- The Spinal Surge synergy from the Bone Surge morph now grants Major Vitality instead of Minor Vitality.
- Spiked Bone Shield: Updated the tooltip for this ability and its morphs to better clarify the types of attacks it will return damage against.
- Reduced the effectiveness of the Bone Wall and Spinal Surge Synergy granted by this ability and its morphs to 50% from 100%.
- Developer Comment: With the changes to shields now accounting for your armor, we wanted to ensure these shields could remain just as potent as before, but you would need to allocate more resources in doing so.
- Increased the base cost to 4320 from 3780, but applied the 15% Stamina cost reduction it was missing, which will take the cost to 3672.
- Bone Shield will now properly rank up in 1.1% shield size per rank.
- Spiked Bone Shield:
- This ability's damage return can no longer self-perpetuate with other damage return procs, and will no longer remove the attack from sneak attacks before finishing the attack.
- Increased the damage return to 60% from 33% to put it better in line with the other morph.
- Bone Surge: This ability will now rank up in 1.1% shield size, rather than reducing in cost.
- Bone Wall and Spinal Surge (synergies):
- These synergies now affect up to 6 allies, up from 4.
- Reduced the size of the shields to 30% of the synergizer's Max Health from 50%.
- Bone Surge (morph): Fixed an issue where the synergy of this morph was granting a damage shield larger than it stated.
- Fixed an issue where the Charged Lightning and Bone Wall synergies did not remove their synergies from others when activated.
- Fixed multiple issues where the synergy from this ability and its morphs did not follow regular rules. The shield granted from these abilities no longer stack, and being affected by any version now makes you immune to other versions for 6 seconds.
