Long, long ago, for reasons most have forgotten, Clan Direnni left Summerset and relocated to Balfiera Isle in the Iliac Bay. Ownership of the clan's abandoned real estate above the Diren valley has been locked in Elvish litigation ever since.
|
Direnni Acropolis is an abandoned and haunted settlement in northern Summerset, north of Shimmerene.
While normally harmless, the haunting has recently escalated as undead creatures have been spotted coming out of the ruins, which prompted the Divine Prosecution, backed by Aldmeri Dominion soldiers, to make sure that any dangerous activity in the ruins remains contained.
A bailiff of the Prosecution tells you about the curse laid upon the estate and a ghost residing deep within the estate's catacombs.
Quentin Rouillac the traveling merchant walks along the road between Russafeld and the acropolis with his dog, Duchess Fluffyface.

NotesEdit
- For more info about the prominent Direnni family, see the lore article.
- Before completing the related quest, entering the area of the acropolis automatically turns the time to nighttime, even if it is daytime currently.
- The maps for Direnni Acropolis were apparently originally intended for use with Karndar Watch, but were repurposed to here.
- In the garden, you'll find three large statues close to each other. There's a male with a sword and shield in heavy Altmer armor, a male archer in medium Altmer armor, and a female with a scroll, a staff and robes in Altmer style.
- The interior contains a large number of lootable urns.
- There is what appears to be a bottomless pit at the center of the stairs in the undercroft. Plunging its depths leads to character death. One can go to the ledge on the same level as the entrance to it with careful maneuvering, but going even one floor down will lead to instant death upon landing.
