In a Troubled House
Finishes Quest Journal Entry
Garalo prepared a boat to take us to the island of Gorne. I should board the boat when I'm ready.
Objective: Travel to Gorne
I landed on Gorne with Garalo. He thinks we should begin by finding Dreynis, the mage who resides here.
Objective: Find Dreynis
Hidden Objective: Search for Dreynis's Notes
Hidden Objective: Activate the Final Font
Hidden Objective: Defeat Straath
Hidden Objective: Take the Prism of Moribund Sapience
Hidden Objective: Take the Compiled Research Notes
Dreynis the mage appeared. I should speak to him and see if he'll share the research Garalo is looking for.
Objective: Talk to Dreynis
Dreynis agreed to share his research, if we can find it. He said his notes are scattered about the island, but he enchanted them to glow so he wouldn't lose them. I should look around.
Objective: Search for Dreynis's Notes

Optional Step: Talk to Garalo
Garalo said to find him in the middle of the estate once I collected the glowing notes pages. I should meet him there.
Objective: Meet Garalo Givyn in the Estate
I found three piles of research that Garalo Givyn asked for. I should talk to him to see if anything is missing.
Objective: Talk to Garalo Givyn
Garalo has a plan to reveal whatever Dreynis has hidden in the manor's rotunda. I need to place the arcane foci gems he gave me on the balcony.
Objective: Place the Arcane Foci
Dreynis suddenly appeared when Garalo opened a portal in the rotunda. He fled into Garalo's portal. Garalo told me to follow him.
Objective: Follow Dreynis
I followed Dreynis into a hidden study inside the estate. He seems more composed than before. I should talk to him.
Objective: Search the Study
Objective: Talk to Dreynis
Finishes quest  I followed Dreynis into a hidden study inside the estate. He seems more composed than before. I should talk to him.
Objective: Search the Study
Objective: Talk to Dreynis
Dreynis warned me of the prism's effects. I need to decide whether to tell Garalo the whole truth, and save him from the prism, or let it corrupt him the way it did Dreynis.
Objective: Talk to Garalo
I warned Garalo about the prism's corrupting influence. He decided to keep it locked away. After all, Dreynis's notes seem to be more than enough to advance his career.

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
