Preliminary exploration of a pocket ballista design as requested by Bogcup.
Reason for the request? Quote: "I just really want one."
I requisitioned a ballista through the usual channels. It cost a tidy sum of gold, but the results are stellar. Fresh from Her Majesty's war forges, as promised. Its construction is elegant. Precise.
Immediate design challenge is clear. How to reduce its size while sacrificing as little damage potential as possible. Will first consider alternative materials. Perhaps a bronze alloy of some sort? Maintain release power while reducing its weight? Much to consider.
A fun challenge. I should be sure to thank Bogcup, but must take care not to encourage any additional such requests.
