The Maormer are native to the island kingdom of Pyandonea, an archipelago in the southern ocean. Their ruler, King Orgnum, is said to be immortal.

Serpent's Grotto is a cave in western Greenshade, northeast of Woodhearth. An ancient sea serpent was once slain and its spirit sealed within the grotto. Upon learning of this, Sea Vipers quickly set out to attempt to free the spirit and tame it for themselves.
