Geirmund's GuardianEdit
After you learnt about the trials at Geirmund's Hall from any of the bards, you will be directed to the thane who will let you participate by taking on the trials:
- "Welcome to my home, friend. Get you some mead?"
- I've heard about the challenge.
- "Ah! I thought you had the look of a champion about you. To earn the title and represent Geirmund's Hall, you must pass three tests.
A test of might, a test of wit, and a test of spirit." - What do I do?
- "Troll's blood, you are eager! Every year, members of my household proctor the tests. Seek them out, and they'll set you on the path."
- Who do I speak to?
- "Daljari holds the test of might. Iroda holds the test of wit, I think. And, yes, Widulf holds the test of spirit.
Good luck!"
If you speak to him again, he'll add:
- "Almost wish I could take the trials myself. It's been too many years."
- Ask you a few questions, Thane?
- "Hah! Enough with that Thane business. I don't even deserve the title.
But yes, ask what you will!" - What do you mean, you don't deserve the title? / What did you mean, you don't deserve the title?
- "Thanes are masters of mighty cities! I'm just an old military man. Won too many battles, and they ran out of little medals to pin on me.
So they dubbed me a Thane and gave me dominion over all you see before you! Hah!"

- Why is this place named Geirmund's Hall?
- "I'm sure the skalds are eager to tell you that particular tale. An old Nord hero bore the name. And his legacy lives on today."
- Why is everyone celebrating?
- "You've arrived at a fortuitous time of the year! The mead is at its best and to celebrate I invite all my kith and kin to the hall.
Get this many warriors together, and they just have to compete. So we host the challenge and have some fun!"

After completing the three challenges, he'll be located in front of the hall to name you the new Guardian:
- "You've done it! Now, we name you to the crowd."
- I'm ready.
- "Now we celebrate.
Follow me to the balcony."
Follow him up to the Feasting Hall's balcony where he'll address the good citizens of Geirmund's Hall:
- Thane Vofknir: "Everyone! Today we add a new name to the Guardian rolls."
- Thane Vofknir: "A champion, standing here beside me, will watch over the Rift. Let us cheer this victory!"
Suddenly you'll hear a voice cry out from below:
- Runehild: "Help! Giants!"
Speak to the Thane and he'll ask you to take action:
- "She looks hurt, champion. See to her."
After Geirmund's Guardian but before Save Your Voice, he'll say:
- "Well done, champion."
Save Your VoiceEdit
After you escorted Skald Jakaral back to Geirmund's Hall, the thane and Logod will be waiting for you. He'll toast your act of heroism:
- "You've returned! And the bards, stupid though they may be, are alive!"
- Just glad I could help, Thane.
- "We'll toast your name tonight, my new champion. I hope you'll stay and enjoy the mead. And the feasting. And the dancing!
Oh, oh, oh! And don't forgetāthe singing!"
After the quests:
- "Don't think we've had a champion like you in years. Years! Hah!"
