Detailed WalkthroughEdit
Following on from A Thirst for Revolution, Ufa will be ready to take the final step: defeating Sadas Secundus, the leader of the Seventh Legion forces in Hallin's Stand. Speak to him.
- "There's no time to waste. We must strike now, or the Imperials will have time to make preparations."
- What do I do?
- "Go inside and slay that Imperial Sadas Secundus like the dog she is. We don't know what kind of forces she has with her.
- We're counting on you."
- I won't let you down.
The objective will update to enter the palace behind Ufa; however, if you speak to him again he will have more to say:
- "Every moment that passes gives the Imperials time to regroup. Without their leader, they'll lose their focus and be easy prey for my people."
Now enter the Grandeya's palace. The grand hall is empty, but for the lone Imperial woman at the back in the sitting area: Sadas Secundus herself. She is not immediately hostile, so go right up and speak to her.
- "I've heard a lot about you. Finally, we meet in person."
- I've come to reclaim Hallin's Stand from the Imperials.
- "Bold. I like that. It's unfortunate you've picked the wrong side. The Legion needs more soldiers with that kind of attitude.
- No matter. Hallin's Stand will be our stronghold in the Covenant, and no upstart shall challenge that."
- I disagree with you.
- "Did you think I'd let anyone walk in here unchallenged?
- You are a fool, as are the rest of them. I'll enjoy watching you die."
As soon as you exit dialogue everything will go dark for a moment, and then Sadas will have vanished. Turns out she was buying time for her agent, the traitor Maradem, to arrive, and he's blocking your exit. As he attacks he will yell, "I won't fail you again, Secundus!"
When he has fallen, the grandeya will run in and announce, "Sadas! The people of Hallin's Stand demand your surrender!" She continues, "If you don't surrender you life is ... forfeit!"
You can go and talk to her if you like:
- "Do not let her win. She ran up the stairs, so be cautious.
- Hallin's Stand depends on you!"
Time to end this. Head up either set of stairs and confront Sadas, who is now hostile. She uses a frost staff and will yell as she engages in combat, "I'll make you an example to these dogs!"
Kill her however you like, then go back downstairs and exit the palace. Ufa is just across the square, waiting for your triumphant return.
- "You've done it! The Seventh Legion will be our prey."
- Is Hallin's Stand free?
- "The Imperials had no chance. We took them by storm, and without their leader, they had nowhere to run. What few are left will fall easily.
- You were the lynchpin for it all!"
- I had your help.
- "The grandeya will have something to say too, no doubt. Here she comes now."
Turn around to see the grandeya exiting the palace and launching into a short speech:
- Grandeya Nuwarrah: "Proud people of Hallin's Stand, we have won the day!"
- Grandeya Nuwarrah: "A stranger to our city was the spark. Let us never forget this, or those who fell in the fight!"
The crowd of resistance fighters will cheer, and then it's time for you to speak to the grandeya and get your well-earned reward:
- "And here is the savior of my people, my city, and me! We are all in your debt, friend."
- What's next for Hallin's Stand?
- "We must rebuild. The Imperials tore apart our fine city, but we will rise from the sands
- You have given us this chance. Forever will Hallin's Stand remember your work and your sacrifices!"
For your efforts you will receive the Staff of Secundus, as well as an average amount of gold and XP. Most importantly, this completes the Hallin's Stand objective and liberates it, which means you can use the city services that had been unavailable.

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
