Skills and AbilitiesEdit
- Extremely aggressive, Striders show an impressive amount of unwavering loyalty to the greater Monstrosities, whom they view as their leaders. They also seem to revere the Sea Sload as their gods. Striders act as soldiers, defending the Yaghra nest. — Prima guide description[1]:219
- (?)
- The strider jumps into the air rolled as a cannonball and attacks its target.
- Lacerate
- Deals low physical damage by pinching and lashing with its front limbs. Causes bleeding if it lands, and can be avoided.
- Reave
- Deals moderate physical damage by biting with its lower mandibles. This ability can stun or knock you down, so it should be blocked.
- Lunge
- The strider suddenly lunges teeth-first, landing where its target was when the strider began the attack. If its target doesn't move, the strider sinks its teeth into them. The landing AoE also causes damage, so those targeted by the strider should move out of the way and try to put some distance between them and where the creature is going to land when the attack begins.
- Frenzy
- The strider makes a strange noise before initiating a combo of physical attacks. The damage increases if left uninterrupted. Nearby yaghra striders that hear the noise also have a high chance of becoming enraged and frenzying as well. Its basic attacks will be faster, and there is a high chance of this occurring if a spewer has marked you with its Luminescent Mark ability. Frenzy must be interrupted (ideally once you hear the noise, before the yaghra begins attacking).
