Marius's Research Note I

The automaton dug up by the excavation team is utterly fascinating, nothing like I have seen before.
In base appearance and function, it's similar to the automatons from Solstheim however this does not look to have a mounted ballista.
It instead has a large tube pultruding from its central face caked in a powder like substance black in color with a strong smell of sulfur.
I must have this sent back to the College for further study.
