Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Ulran Teryon maintains a weapons and armor store in the southern part of Andothren, high on the hillside. Speak to him about Synell Gioranus, a recent customer, and he will open up on his recent worries. Apparently he sold Synell a cuirass made from material acquired from an accursed shipment of steel, and he expects Synell's cuirass to break at a critical moment. Ulran asks that you find and warn Synell, and suggests that you begin by asking Torasa Fols, who owns the enchanter store next door.

Torasa has Synell's next location, noting that this devotee of Arkay was planning an expedition into the Armun Ashlands, and was intending to take the silt strider to Menaan and to stay at the Grey Lodge south of that settlement. You'll now need to follow in his footsteps, and reach the Grey Lodge. It lies up the path running south from Menaan's only gate. Once inside, talk to Etras Llendeno with a bottle of Greef in your inventory. The Dark Elf will confess to being irritated by Synell, and says that he persuaded the Imperial to prove himself in the lethally dangerous cave called Shaden.

Shaden is your next stop. Follow the road south from the Grey Lodge and turn left at the first junction. The area in which you'll find Shaden's entrance is rife with the tough Armun Kagouti. The body of the unfortunate Synell is nearby. Search it to update your journal, and then return to Ulran to complete the quest. If you took the cuirass from the body, you can give it to Ulran in order to receive a Fortified Steel Cuirass in return. Otherwise he will pay you 200 gold in recompense for your efforts.

Ulran has suggested that I should start my search at Torasa Fols' shop, right next to Ulran's.
20		Torasa Fols has confirmed that Synell Gioranus had visited her shop and departed for the Armun Ashlands right after. She mentioned that he had been planning to stay in the Grey Lodge tavern on the way to the ashlands.
30		Etras Llendeno, one of the patrons at the Grey Lodge, has told me that he goaded Synell Gioranus to go to a dangerous cavern named Shaden in the Armun Ashlands.
40		I found the body of Synell Gioranus.
