- The Dwemer already used technology and preffered their "gods of reason and logic" which resulted in their untimely dissapearance. Reason is that, whithin their ruins are definite signs of technology --steam powered jets and fire shoots. This suggests that, although the modern races have the ability to use technology based from the Dwemer ruins, there is no practical need since everything is done with magic.
- Dissapearance of a beloved RPG race
- Elder Scrolls presumably suggests that Dwemer, or Dwarves, are extinct but assumes is such a strong suggestive motiff.
