ChestsEdit

Where are all these chests suddenly appearing from. The pages were written years ago and thoroughly checked for the UESPWiki:Oblivion Places Redesign Project, yet you find a single missing chest in over 10 locations (including edits from other IP addresses I have no doubt are you as well)? Please explain yourself before adding anymore or reinserting your undone edits. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 02:06, 6 February 2014 (GMT)

I really found some... hmmm... "new" chests. I use Steam version of Oblivion, perhaps it is a reason because I see chests which are absent in Wiki?.. If you want I can send to you screenshots with these chests. P.S. Excuse me for my English.188.255.102.142 02:17, 6 February 2014 (GMT)
You aren't using any mods are you? It is extremely strange that there are so many undocumented chests. It's not unheard of for things to missed, but to have so many is just odd. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 02:31, 6 February 2014 (GMT)
I use only mods which I have bought with Oblivion: DLCBattlehornCastle, DLCFrostcrag, DLCHorseArmor, DCLMehrunesRazor, DLCOrrery, DLCShiveringIsles, DLCSpellTomes, DLCThievesDen, DLCVileLair and Knights.188.255.102.142 02:39, 6 February 2014 (GMT)
If you could upload one picture for me that would be great, perhaps they were deemed too far away to be part of the dungeon description, but who can be sure when most editors from then are retired. I don't doubt you of course, just the source of the chests. If they were added by one of the official add-ons you specified they should be noted. Hmmm... I can't find where I may to upload an image file... Perhaps I must register before uploading? Or I you want I can send images to you by e-mail or Skype.188.255.102.142 03:00, 6 February 2014 (GMT)
You need to register to upload here, or you can upload to Steam and direct link there, or if you prefer you can upload it to an image hosting site and direct link it (bear in mind that as a wiki we have a captcha and filters for external links). First file is list of my DLCs.

Second file is a screenshot for a "new" chest near entrance of Fort Gold-Throat. A crosshair points to "tower" where an "old" chest is.]]

() I have registered as SII. Now I will do screenshots.SII (talk) 03:11, 6 February 2014 (GMT)

Comparing that image to whats listed and the external map, it hasn't been listed. We just need to get that location double-checked by someone else, or me tomorrow, and then it can probably be readded. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 03:37, 6 February 2014‎

First of new chests near entrance of Arkved's Tower (third floor, a crosshair points to an old chest).

Second of new chests near entrance of Arkved's Tower (second floor, NE part of the tower; the old chest is in SE part).

A new chest in location C of Fort Ash.

My newest chests. Fort Redwater, near entrance.

Fort Redwater, a crosshair point to a new chest, on left side near the player you can see two old jewelry boxes.

We have an answer. The chests were left off the pages during the UESPWiki:OPRP as they were considered clutter chests (holding nothing of significance). Thus many are undocumented. They were checked through the console to verify their contents before doing so. If you wish to change the way they are documented you can bring it up on the talk page of the project (where some of the reasoning is) or the community portal, as it would be a significant change in the documentation of Oblivion.
