When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).

Show PreviewEdit

Hello and welcome to UESPWiki! Thanks for your interest in the wiki; however, you seem to have been making multiple edits to a page by not using the show preview button, clogging up the Recent Changes in the process. We appreciate your enthusiasm, but keep in mind that each edit needs to be patrolled, so multiple consecutive edits create an unnecessary hassle on those who patrol. So please utilize this feature! You probably want to look at Oblivion:Roleplaying Ideas and the {{Roleplaying}} template used there. If you look at any of the Oblivion categories, such as Category:User_Content-Oblivion-Roleplaying-Assassin you'll see that it doesn't contain any content itself, but instead contains links to userpages that contain the content. That's how the Skyrim information needs to also be set up. Adding {{Roleplaying|game=Skyrim|...}} to your userpages is how you take care of the categories. --Nephele^Talk 04:50, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

Okay i like the idea of a Skyrim Roleplaying ideas page but could you try filling in your idea's? If you make an idea please don't leave it blank. I could contribute later but just saying, fill in the idea's please. ( I just created an account because i lost the password to my old one. Ive played every elderscrolls game there is. Didn't finish all expansions though. Yeah, i understand that. I seemed a little pushy in the last comment i made. And i was thinking, i should but i just made this account and im not quite used to everything with editing. And i don't think its bad that some are blank, just though they should be filled. I'll try filling a few in when i work out editing properly. And when its not 2:00AM in the morning. Could you put a notice on your sandbox pages which other people can edit? Something like "everyone is free to contribute ideas to this page". I'm asking you because by standard, only you are allowed to edit your userpages, and while it's clear you want people to edit your pages, it makes me weary of patrolling those edits. That notice would just make things easy, just in case.

Also, you've created a lot of different sandboxes for your rp-ideas, so I'd have to ask you to try to create these as efficient as possible. By that I mean, try not to create a page for 20 sentences alone. I get that they're yet to be filled up etc. but I can't help but feel you're redundantly making new pages ~ Dwarfmp 01:55, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

I've already started on my own roleplays for an Assassin (and added some contracts) on my own page. Because it might be a bit much to merge roleplays, do you mind if I just leave links in the appropriate places?

Yeah, I would just copy and paste the information, but I have only done a DB roleplay so far, and that has been done (and I would have to merge the two). Plus it's a matter of personal pride (yes you do recognise the people who write the roleplays, but I can't help it). And I have an ad for a mod I'm helping with, and I wouldn't be able to add that to another userspace. Right-Hand-Of-Sithis 06:55, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

(←) In your roleplay character ideas, under the assasin sub-category, someone has posted an idea called the wetboy. the problem is, the idea is taken from the a trilogy of books written by Brent Weeks, and instead of crediting him, he has claimed the idea as his own. i hate to seem like a killjoy, but i think it is important that credit is given where it is due, thank you. Well, I'm not sure if you will read this, but you will need to learn how to leave your signature. You do that by four tildes (~) at the end of your comment. That will place a link to your page. I'm pretty sure there are also specific people around the UESP that mentor people on how to contribute, you may want to look into that. You should get an introduction message with all this info. RPG NoobEdit

While I may paint a pretty picture with smalls words when I need to, my weakness for typing out stories needs a LOT of work! I also understand that the best way to practice and learn is to start or be apart of one myself! This said, do you know of anyone that has enough experience with Role Playing that they can walk me through some of the basics and finer points? Thank you! I had to create a new account but my old one was Barbarian king and I had made the antihero. I honestly really like your page and I think it's great. I haven't been doing really any edits other than minor things lately, the page has begun to expand on it's own from several users editing it on a weekly basis.
