Arilus Quenti

Legate Arilus Quenti, an Imperial soldier, is a former Legate in the Imperial Legion who has fled the civil war in Skyrim and now lives in the slums just outside Bruma's north gate.

Arilus wakes up early at 5am every day, relaxes for a while and then eats some breakfast until 8am. On Morndas, Middas and Fredas, he will then head to the Bruma Stables, where will toil away for the next ten hours under the watchful eye of Ila the Upright. On other days, he will instead stay indoors until 2pm, at which point he will emerge from his shack and spend the next four hours loitering around the slums. At 6pm he eats a quick, one-hour meal in his shack before heading to the Cathedral of St. Martin. At 9pm he will return home, before finally going to bed at 10pm.

Arilus wears miner's clothes and a pair of boots during the day and changes into farmer's clothes and boots in his sleep. He is armed with an Imperial sword and light shield, as well as an Imperial bow with 50 steel arrows. He also carries the key to his shack as well as a random selection of gold, lockpicks, rings, food and drink.

DialogueEdit

When approached, he will be heard cursing the Stormcloaks or sadly reflecting on his current situation:

"Damn those Stormcloaks. Damn them all to the Deadlands"
"This is a far cry from the garrison"
"Living hand-to-mouth in a Bruma slum. Not exactly how I expected my Legion career to end."

If you ask what happened to him, he will explain:

"The Stormcloaks happened."

Depending on whether the civil war is ongoing, or if the Empire or Stormcloaks have won, he will go on:

"Skyrim's descended into chaos, brother turning against brother. The rebels hunted us."
"We barely won the Civil War in Skyrim, and even despite that, things haven't returned to normality. We were hunted by rebel sympathizers."
"They won the Civil War in Skyrim. My unit and I were near Solitude at the time. Hunted us like dogs."

He then continues:

"So I eventually came here. At least Cyrodiil remains under stable Imperial rule".

If you then ask what he will do now, he will reply:

"Once I've scraped together enough coin for the trip I'll probably take a carriage to the Imperial City and explain what happened. Hopefully I will get re-assigned somewhere in Cyrodiil and get steady pay once again."

Depending on the status of the civil war he will then finish off with:

"But still, such chaos in Skyrim. I can't help but feel like the Empire might be on its last legs. Dark days. Dark days."
"But still, Skyrim no longer under Imperial rule... that thought frightens me. Dark days approach for the Empire, I fear."
"But still, Skyrim coming so close to ceding from the Empire. Dark days for Tamriel. Dark days."

NotesEdit
