- "The missionary arm of the great faiths, the Imperial Cult brings divine inspiration and consolation to the Empire's remote provinces. The cults combine the worship of the Nine Divines: the Aedra Akatosh, Dibella, Arkay, Zenithar, Mara, Stendarr, Kynareth, and Julianos, and the Talos Cult, veneration of the divine god-hero Tiber Septim, founder and patron of the Empire. Imperial Cult priests provide worship and services for all these gods at the Imperial Cult shrines in settlements throughout Vvardenfell." -- Morrowind Prophecies
The Imperial Cult's shrines are mainly found in Imperial Forts; the Imperial Chapels in Ebonheart serve as its headquarters on Vvardenfell. The Cult maintains relatively good relations with the other guilds of Morrowind, being allies with the Imperial Legion, Blades, and Fighters Guild and on friendly terms with the Mages Guild, House Hlaalu, and Redoran.
You can join this faction by visiting the priest at Fort Pelagiad (Pelagiad), Buckmoth Legion Fort, Moonmoth Legion Fort, or Duke Vedam Dren's castle in Ebonheart.
With the expansions installed, the Cult has also established a mission in Solstheim at Fort Frostmoth (requires Bloodmoon), and has a small shrine in the Royal Palace of Mournhold (requires Tribunal).
Joining the Imperial CultEdit
If you ask how to join the Imperial Cult, you will be directed to speak with the following people:
- Lalatia Varian (Ebonheart, Imperial Chapels)
- Ruccia Conician (Ebonheart, Grand Council Chambers)
- Somutis Vunnis (Moonmoth Legion Fort)
- Syloria Siruliulus (Buckmoth Legion Fort)
- Ygfa (Fort Pelagiad)
You can also speak to any member ranked Adept or higher:
- Adusamsi Assurnarairan (Rotheran, Arena)
- Crito Olcinius (Mournhold, Royal Palace: Imperial Cult Services) TR
- Frik (Ebonheart, Imperial Chapels)
- Jeleen (Fort Frostmoth, Imperial Cult Shrine) BM
- Kaye (Ebonheart, Imperial Chapels)
- Lassinia Mussillius (Ebonheart, Six Fishes)
You will need to make a one time payment of 50 gold to join, unless you are talking to Ygfa. If you have completed The Silver Bowl quest, she will waive the fee because of your kindness to her friend, Piernette Beluelle.
Expelled from the Imperial CultEdit
Should you be expelled from the Imperial Cult, such as by stealing from or assaulting another member, you will have to see either Lalatia Varian or Kaye to make amends. As soon as you enter dialogue with them, they will ask you to atone by making you ask for forgiveness in order to be given a second chance in the Imperial Cult. If you choose to beg for forgiveness, you will be readmitted into the Imperial Cult. If you choose not to atone, they will immediately exit conversation and their disposition will drop by five points. You will then have to talk to them again if you want back in the Imperial Cult. Any second expulsion from the Imperial Cult will be permanent.

Quest NotesEdit
- Most of the quest-givers in this faction (except for Lalatia Varian) are very pushy and conduct the majority of their quest dialogue in the form of greetings. This means that if you have an active quest and you talk to them without having completed the quest requirements, you may lose disposition.
- All of Synnolian Tunifus' quests can be completed by giving him ingredients bought beforehand from vendors. If you come prepared, this series of quests can be completed in one trip. All of the ingredients can be bought from restocking vendors in Balmora temple. You need five of each ingredient to complete all the quests, except for the Netch Leather quest which only requires one.
- You can give Iulus Truptor your own money to complete all but two of his quests. The remaining two can be completed by giving him bought or looted items of the correct type.
AltarsEdit
All the Cult Shrines have an altar at which you can pray for healing. Non-members must pay 25 gold for the privilege, while members below the rank of Initiate must pay 10 gold; there is no fee for higher-ranked members. Once any fee is paid, you are given the choice between Cure [Common] Disease, Cure Blight, Cure Poison, and Restore Attributes.
In the vanilla version of the game, the Restore Attributes option simply restores the eight attributes. In patched versions, however, it also restores all 27 skills, in case any have been damaged (a rare occurrence, at least in unmodded games).
Restore Attributes also refills your magicka, quite useful for an atronach.
Altars are located in every imperial fort, the imperial cult headquarters in Ebonheart, and the Ald'ruhn Mage's guild.
