- Report back to the Dark Slayer within the time limit to complete the quest.
Detailed WalkthroughEdit
Chivalry is DeadEdit
Speak to the Dark Slayer, who says:
- "Ah, here's something to appeal to the romantic in you, (player's first name): a caddish knight has besmeared the honor of a fair damsel and refuses to fight any who would defend her. The poor girl did the only thing she could do, and now we have some accounting to do. You're interested, I take it?"
AcceptEdit
The Dark Slayer goes on:
- "As I thought. We think the knight does not yet know about the contract, being deeply entrenched in a fortress called (dungeon). Obviously, this ill-bred warrior doesn't want to make this too easy on us. Well, the contract calls for the accounting to be in (time limit) days and for you to report back here within that time. Go to it, (player's first name). Defend that poor soiled damsel."
DeclineEdit
The Dark Slayer answers:
- "No? I would have thought this would be your good cheer. Well, we have plenty more accounters with a soft spot for corrupted wenches."
Deal with the Errant KnightEdit
This quest is a standard dungeon crawl. Head to the dungeon named by the Dark Slayer, enter it, and find your target within. The cad may appear as a knight, nightblade, spellsword, or warrior. There may be multiple enemies of these types, but you must kill the specified target for the quest to count as a success. When your target dies, a notification appears:
- "Tell (damsel's name)...that she can share soiled...honor with every farmboy...in (region)," says the knight as you account him. The contract has been fulfilled.
RewardEdit
Return to the Dark Slayer after killing the target, and he will say:
- "So the rogue knight has entered the hereafter, yes? Perhaps in his next incarnation he will have the wisdom to keep his sword sheathed. Well done, as usual, (player's first name)."

Additional DialogueEdit
After you have accepted this quest, NPCs may say when asked for any news:
- "That soldier is one mangy mutt, I'll tell you. No honor whatsoever."
- "I hear that lady tried to seduce the knight and failed. That's why she's upset."
If you fail the quest, NPCs may say when asked for any news:
- "That warrior has moved on to new lands to corrupt their gentle womenfolk."
- "The soldier has left (current locale) like a hurricane, leaving broken hearts behind."
If you successfully complete the quest, NPCs may say when asked for any news:
- "That soldier got what was coming to (him/her) if you ask me. What a cad!"
- "Good that someone isn't afraid to defend a damsel. Damned abominable rogue."
If you successfully complete the quest, the quest giver may later greet you with:
- "I'd be enchanted to help the knight-slayer any way I can."
If you failed the quest, the quest giver will greet you with:
- "What makes you think that I'd be interested in talking with a (player's race) who can't even slay one lousy knight. Leave my sight at once."
