The Rights Charter was a Direnni legal document that granted the ruler the right to conscript the citizenry into the legions in times of need. When the Alessian Empire invaded High Rock in 1E 480, the Rights Charter was reluctantly invoked by Aiden Direnni, allowing him to conscript his Breton subjects into the war, which culminated with the Battle of Glenumbria Moors.[1]
