Elone

Elone is a Redguard scout and a Journeyman in the Blades. She can be found at Arrille's Tradehouse in Seyda Neen. As a scout in Vvardenfell, Elone is a good resource for information about various locations as well as good directions to these locales. Ask her about Balmora and she'll write you up some directions. She is one of the Blades Trainers, and will provide you with medium training in Long Blade, Athletics, and Medium Armor, but only if you join the Blades. If you mention it to her, she'll give you a free copy of the Guide to Vvardenfell.

She is wearing a netch leather cuirass and a variety of common clothing, including a shirt, pants, shoes, skirt, and belt. She carries a steel broadsword and up to 20 gold. Like all Redguards, she has a natural resistance to poison and disease, and can boost her health, strength, agility and endurance for a short period of time, but otherwise knows no spells.

Regarding Blades business, her duties consist of learning about Vvardenfell while keeping an eye on travelers passing through Seyda Neen.

  • Argonian neighbors:
    • "Native Dunmer regard Argonians as animals fit for slavery. Dunmer have always enslaved Argonians. The Empire protects Argonian human rights, but does not outlaw slavery in Morrowind."
  • Balmora:
    • [Elone's Directions to Balmora has been added to your inventory.] "Balmora is the district street of House Hlaalu, and the largest settlement on Vvardenfell after Vivec City. Good roads lead north from here to Balmora, passing through Fort Pelagiad and Pelagiad village. From Balmora, road leads north to Ald'ruhn through the town of Caldera. Maybe I'd better write down the directions to Balmora for you. It's a long walk, and a little confusing."
    • "All right. I'll repeat what I said. But pay attention. Balmora is the district seat of House Hlaalu, and the largest settlement on Vvardenfell after Vivec City. Good roads lead north from here to Balmora, passing Fort Pelagiad and Pelagiad village. From Balmora, roads lead north to Ald'ruhn trough the town of Caldera."

    • "Normally I don't offer training, but since you're one of us, I'll just charge you for my time and effort. But the best way to learn is to teach yourself. Why don't I give you my old copy of 'Guide to Vvardenfell'[sic] If you're going to work with us here, you'd best know something about the land and the people."
    • "Yes, I offer training, but only to Blades."
  • Caldera:
    • "Caldera is a recently chartered mining town and mining corporation north of Balmora on the road to Ald'ruhn. The Caldera Mining Company has been granted an Imperial monopoly to remove raw ebony from the rich deposits here. Caldera is a new town, recently built in the Western Imperial style, and most of the citizens are outlanders and new colonists."

    • "Ebonheart is south on the road from Pelagiad, built on the western shore of the water-founded city of Vivec. Ebonheart is the seat of the Imperial government for Vvardenfell district, and a busy center of maritime trade. Castle Ebonheart is the home of Duke Vedam Dren, the district's ruler and Emperor's representative. Also located at Castle Ebonheart are the Vvardenfell District Council chambers and the Hawk Moth Legion garrison. The East Empire Company has its headquarters in Ebonheart."

    • "Pelagiad is a newly chartered Imperial village on the road north from Vivec to Balmora, right on the western edge of the Ascadian Isles region. The village is right outside the Imperial Legion garrison at Fort Pelagiad. The houses and shops are built in the Western Imperial style, and Pelagiad looks more like a village in the western Empire than a Morrowind setllement."

Built on Norvayn Bay, completely surrounded by water, the city itself is a group of giant town-sized buildings called 'cantons'. The High Fane and the palace of Vivec are visited by hundreds of tourists and pilgrims daily. Outlanders mostly confine themselves to the Foreign Canton, while natives live, work, and shop in the Great House compounds and residential cantons."
