In The Elder Scrolls Online, you have just three main attributes. Each is represented by a colored bar that appears at the bottom of the screen whenever the attribute is at less than 100%.
- Health
- The total damage you can take before dying
- Represented by a red bar at the bottom center of the screen
- Regenerates faster outside of combat than inside of combat
- Magicka
- The magical energy used to cast spells
- Represented by a blue bar at the bottom left of the screen
- Regenerates faster outside of combat than inside of combat
- A higher maximum magicka increases the damage dealt by magicka-based abilities, including most class abilities, as well as increases the effectiveness of your healing spells.
- Stamina
- Your physical energy, used for sprinting, dodging, blocking, sneaking, and stamina-based abilities
- Represented by a green bar at the bottom right of the screen
- Regenerates faster outside of combat than inside of combat
- A higher maximum stamina increases the damage dealt by stamina-based abilities, such as those for most weapons, and light and heavy attacks for weapons
- Having more maximum stamina will not increase the cost of dodging, blocking, or other combat maneuvers
Until level 50, each time you level up, your maximum points for all three attributes will increase by 220 for magicka and stamina, and 300 points for health. The recovery for all three attributes will also increase. You will also receive one or more Attribute Points that you can choose to increase one attribute by 111 points (122 points for Health). You can choose to increase attributes at a later time.
Certain types of armor, weapons, and jewelry will increase your maximum or recovery points as long as you have them on. Food and some potions will increase your maximum points and beverages will increase your recovery for a period of time. Only one food, beverage, or potion effect can be active at a time.
Attribute point assignments can be changed later on at a Rededication Shrine for a (small) cost in gold, or with an Attribute Respecification Scroll from the Crown Store.
In addition, you have one other attribute:
- Ultimate
- The energy needed to use Ultimate abilities
- Represented by a green bar which fills up in the background of your slotted Ultimate skill.
- When you have enough to perform your Ultimate, the skill icon will glow
NotesEdit
- The system of attributes used in The Elder Scrolls Online is almost identical to that of Skyrim, other than the fact that Skyrim does not have a maximum level.
