Quest-Related EventsEdit
Edit
He will be one of the captains held captive by the Ascendant Order. You will be defending Lady Arabelle and Jakarn who are trying to break his prison:
- Captain Kaleen: "Lady Arabelle"
- Lady Arabelle Davaux: "Kaleen, Za'ji, Tsuzo! Thank the Divines you're all right! But where are the delegates?"
- Captain Tsuzo: "Apologies, m'lady. We lost our charges."
- Captain Za'ji: "Za'ji is not all right …."
- Jakarn: "Not to spoil the reunion, but we're about to get company."
- Lady Arabelle Davaux: "Jakarn, free the captains. Friend, keep the Ascendant Order at bay! Buy us some time!"
He will be freed eventually and escorted out to safety by Jakarn.
Inside Mandrake Manor, he will appreciate your rescue:
- "I thank you for my rescue. I do not think the Ascendant Order had any more use for me. Once they realized I could not tell them what became of Prince Irnskar, they dragged me back to that cell."
- Do you remember what happened out at sea?
- "I remember it like the ripples in my favorite pond. A storm blew up without warning. My ship was driven onto the rocks near Amenos and broke apart. All were cast into the sea.
When we reached shore, those rogue knights grabbed us." - What happened to Prince Irnskar?
- "I did not see what became of him. He might have been trapped in the part of the ship that was swept away. Or maybe the currents carried him to a different part of the shore.
Or … he might have drowned. I know that many of my crew did."
Speaking to him again before Lady Arabelle:
- "If there is an way I can help with your investigation, I am at your disposal. I want to find Prince Irnskar as much as Lady Arabelle. More, even."
After the quest, he will vow to find Prince Irnskar once he recovers:
- "The mud flows where it will, my friend. As soon as I recover my strength, I will help in any way I can.
I know that Prince Irnskar is still out there somewhere. We just need to find him."
People of ImportEdit
As you return to Mandrake Manor, an earthquake will occur and the Colossus will be damaged, Captain Tsuzo and Captain Za'ji will speak to each other:
- Captain Za'ji: "Look the Colossus!"
- Captain Tsuzo: "These tremors grow more powerful. I heard that volcanic fissures are bursting open across the isles."
- Captain Za'ji: "First a storm, now this? It must be the work of the Ascendant Order!"
- Captain Tsuzo: "You give them too much credit. An earthquake destroyed the Gonfalon Colossus."
- Captain Za'ji: "Yes, an Ascendant earthquake! Trust Za'ji. He knows!"
When spoken to:
- "I have visited High Isle several times over the years. Never have I seen the ground so restless. It is alarming.
Could Za'ji be right? Could the Ascendant Order be causing these tremors and eruptions?" - The Ascendant Magus said the old regimes will be swept away in storm and fire.
- "Storm and fire? I am troubled.
If the Ascendant Magus can use powerful storm magic against his enemies, does he also command the tremors and volcanic fissures? It is maddening to even contemplate!" - Lady Arabelle suspects a link between the storms and the volcanic activity.
- "Za'ji is right to worry, then. The loss of a monument might be the least of our concerns if the Ascendant Order can rouse the volcano.
Lady Arabelle is inside, friend. Perhaps she'll know what to do."
He will then head back inside with Za'ji, you can further speak to him before Lady Arabelle:
- "I plan to set out soon to scour the coast for signs of wreckage. If the dockmaster is not to be trusted, we cannot assume he carried out his search.
If there is any sign of the missing ships, I will find it."
Deadly InvestigationsEdit
After you investigated the three sites for Ascendant Order activity and after relaying the findings to Lady Arabelle. She mentions that Captain Tsuzo will be at Shipwreck Shoals and has an urgent message of a finding that requires immediate attention. When you reach him at the meeting point:
- Captain Tsuzo: "Ah, did Lady Arabelle send you? Look! I think I found her!"
Speaking to him to hear what he has to say: "When I got to the Shoals and saw all those Sea Elf pirates and Hadolids, I quickly sent a message to Lady Arabelle requesting assistance. But I was able to sneak over there, and that is when I spotted her.
The sea has returned her back to me!"
- Who was returned to you?
"My ship! The Kamal's Bane! I thought I lost her forever!
She washed ashore on the Shoals, thank the Hist. It took me some time to reach this spot without being detected, but now that you're here we can see what remains of my vessel."
- All right, I'll help you search the wreckage.
"She will never sail again, but at least it will be good to see her one last time. And perhaps we can find some indication of what happened to my passenger, Prince Irnskar of Windhelm."
- Let's go take a look.
Once you start searching through the wreckage:
- Captain Tsuzo: "You check the hull and I will search among the wreckage. Be careful."
You will find Boatswain Islinne, a survivor of the storm pointing a dagger at you to stay back. Captain Tsuzo rushes forward to check on her injuries:
- Boatswain Islinne: "Stay back…I can still fight!"
- Captain Tsuzo: "Islinne! Friend, this is my boatswain. There is no finer!"
- Boatswain Islinne: "Captain! Thanks Kyne It's you."
Speaking to him:
- "Islinne was responsible for maintaining my vessel. She can be trusted.
Talk to her while I tend to her injuries."
After hearing Islinne's account of the storm, Tsuzo urges you to return back to Lady Arabelle:
- Captain Tsuzo: "Return to the manor. Lady Arabelle must know of this. I'll return as soon as Islinne can travel."
Speaking to him before going back to Mandrake Manor, he will be trying to get Islinne to safety:
- "I'll tend to her wounds and get Islinne to safety. You must carry this information back to Lady Arabelle at once.
Amenos is no place for a prince to wander alone. And if the other leaders are there, they are also in grave danger."
Before you turn in the quest to Lady Arabelle at Mandrake Manor, you can find Captain Tsuzo watching over Islinne being healed by Floraine Leraud. Speaking to him at this point:
- "Islinne will be fine, thanks to you. The menders are seeing to her now.
In the meantime, I stand ready to help once more. You have my word."
Escape from AmenosEdit
After rescuing the royal delegation, he will be back at Mandrake Manor making a bowl of soup. You can speak to him before meeting up with Lady Arabelle:
- "What wonders you accomplished, my friend! Not only did you rescue Prince Irnskar, you managed to bring Queen Ayrenn and High King Emeric back safely.
Few heroes can say they've saved a king, a queen, and a prince all in the same day."
To Catch a MagusEdit
After starting the quest, Lady Arabelle will have the royal delegates sent to All Flags Castle for their protection. Meanwhile, you and she will head out to Mistmouth Cave to track down the Ascendant Magus. You can speak with Captain Tsuzo in Mandrake Manor before you leave:
- "I will accompany Jakarn and make sure that Prince Irnskar and the others reach the secure location safely.
The Ascendant Order won't get the better of me again."
The Ascendant StormEdit
After learning the true identity of the Ascendant Magus, you also learn of the Order's plans to attack All Flags Castle and kills the royal delegates there. Lady Arabelle will ask if you can find the Alliance Captains and ask for their help. You can find all three along with Caska outside the Gonfalon Gaming Hall, with Captain Kaleen feeling frustrated that they are not out there doing something. Speaking with Captain Tsuzo before Kaleen:
- "What a beautiful view. I long to set sail on the water once more, but I share Captain Kaleen's fears. The Ascendant Order is still out there, planning something new.
Speak with her, my friend."
You can then talk with Captain Kaleen and tell her about the plot, and explained Lady Arabelle's plan to take the Nereid's Song so you can sail to All Flags Castle without being detected. Captain Kaleen agrees, and Za'ji and Tsuzo decide to join too:
- Captain Za'ji: "One captain is good. But two is even better, yes?"
- Captain Tsuzo: "Make that three."
- Captain Kaleen: "I can't ask you to join me in this."
- Captain Za'ji: "You are not asking. Za'ji is telling."
- Captain Kaleen: "Looks like I found a crew! Head to Jheury's Cove, friend. We'll collect Lady Arabelle and meet you there."
Speaking with Captain Tsuzo before you head to Jheury's Cove:
- "Seizing an Ascendant Order ship is a bold plan. I am proud to be a part of it. And this time, we will end the threat of the Ascendant Magus once and for all."
Once you reach Jheury's Cove, the captains, Caska, Lady Arabelle and Jakarn will be waiting for you on the cliff above the docks. The Ascendant Order ship the Nereid's Song is docked, and you will need to steal it to reach All Flags Castle. Talking with Tsuzo before you continue:
- "It's good that you are here. I have been watching the dock—we won't take Nereid's Song without a fight.
Speak to Captain Kaleen. She will know what to do."
Speaking with Captain Kaleen, she will explain her plan. Talking with Captain Tsuzo afterwards:
- "Whatever Lady Arabelle needs, I am here to help."
You can then head down to the dock, kill the guards and take the ship. Speaking with Tsuzo before sailing for All Flags Castle:
- "The winds are at our back again, friend—Nereid's Song is ours! Soon we will see what awaits us at All Flags Islet."
When you arrive outside All Flags Castle, you will find the Ascendant Order is already underway. The Captains and Caska will stay to guard the ship while you, Lady Arabelle and Jakarn enter the castle. Speaking with Captain Tsuzo before you leave:
- "Ascendant Order forces surround the castle. We will do what we can to hinder them out here, but I do not know what you will find inside.
I fear the worst, though."
While in the castle, you will find and assist the Alliance leaders and then defeat the Ascendant Magus. Afterwards, the Ascendant Order attackers will flee. You can meet with everyone outside, speaking with Captain Tsuzo before Lady Arabelle:
- "We all fought well today, against unfathomable odds. The enemies of peace have retreated back into the shadows, thanks to our efforts. And thanks to you."
A Chance for PeaceEdit
After rescuing the Alliance Leaders and defeating the Ascendant Magus, Lord Bacaro Volorus will decide to hold a celebration at Gonfalon Palace. Lady Arabelle will ask you to speaker with the Alliance Leaders separately to convince them to come. Once you have done so, you can head to the palace where Captain Tsuzo will be one of the guests. Speaking with Caska before the ceremony starts:
- "A great day, friend. Despite the Ascendant Order's every effort, the delegates to Lord Bacaro's conference survived and are still willing to talk peace.
You and Lady Arabelle made this possible." - Is there any hope of salvaging Kamal's Bane?
- "Sadly, no. She will never sail again. But several Ascendant Order vessels were abandoned after the fight at All Flags Islet. Since the Order wrecked my ship, I hope to claim one of theirs for compensation."
- What will you do then?
- "Hire a crew and refit here in Gonfalon Bay. I do not know how long Prince Irnskar plans to stay, but it would be my honor to return him safely home when the time comes.
Until then, I promised Lady Arabelle I would help protect all the delegates."
Once the quest is completed:
- "When Kamal's Bane foundered on the rocks of Amenos Passage, I could not imagine this hour would come. Yet now the hardest work of all begins.
Well, after the hard work of restoring All Flags Castle is finished. Then the hardest work begins." - Is there any hope of salvaging Kamal's Bane?
- (Rest of the conversation is same as above.)
