Cat Gut Swashbucklers are Imperial pirates who can be randomly found throughout Southern Elsweyr, where they are in the middle of kidnapping a Khajiit.
Skills and AbilitiesEdit
- Stab
- Basic physical attack.
- Off-Hand Strike
- A physical attack dealing minor damage. If it hits in the back, it also staggers and applies a bleeding effect. They always use this attack when they reappear behind from using their salt abilities.
- Throw Dagger
- The enemy backs away from the player and throws a dagger at the player. This attack causes snare and bleed if it connects. This attack can be interrupted to set the enemy off balance. The dagger can be blocked to prevent the snare and bleed and reduce the damage done.
- Lunge
- When far, the swashbuckler charges the target, dealing damage and staggering it.
- Volatile Pool
- Also known as Fiery Oil. Ranged AOE attack. Throws potion which causes the targeted area to be set on fire, indicated by a circular AoE. Causes fire damage.
- Fire Salt Explosion
- The enemy throws down fire salts, causing an explosion and starting a fire, indicated by a circular AoE, that deals damage over time when you stand in it. The initial blast does fire damage. The enemy disappears and cannot be targeted while the ability is active.
- Burning Fire Salts
- The fire started by Fire Salt Explosion. Deals flame damage over time.
- Void Salt Explosion
- The enemy throws down void salts, causing an explosion and setting down a gout of lightning, indicated by a circular AoE, that deals damage over time when you stand in it. The initial blast does lightning damage. The enemy disappears and cannot be targeted while the ability is active.
- Burning Void Salts
- The pool of lightning caused by Void Salt Explosion. Deals lightning damage over time.
- Roll-Dodge
- The swashbuckler rolls to evade incomming damage for a brief period.
- Somersault
- The enemy somersaults backwards to put distance between you and them.
DialogueEdit
If they are encountered during a kidnapping, you may overhear them mocking their victim:
- Cat Gut Swashbuckler: "Do you cats ever shut up? You're spoiling my drink!"
- Cat Gut Swashbuckler: "Ah! Quit your mewling, cat!"
- Cat Gut Swashbuckler: "Blah blah blah. Heard it all before."
- Cat Gut Swashbuckler: "Oh, well that settles it then. Our mistake! Haha!"
NotesEdit
- From the overheard conversations by Black Gulls, they may be part of that pirate crew.
