Quest-Related EventsEdit
Enemies at the GateEdit
Before you start the quest:
- "Can't help you. Maybe Shakul can, if you're looking to buy some tin."
Before you speak to Shaman Bogham, she will ask you not to distract her from work:
- "Shakul has enough excuse to flay my hide. I don't want to give her another.
She's looking this way. Leave me be."
After the quest:
- "Sweat and blood are worth a sea of words."
The Enemy WithinEdit
Speaking to her to find about her alibi:
- "Ah, the hero. What do you want?"
- Moramat asked me to investigate the poisoning of the well.
- "It's shameful for the raiders to do such a thing. They must have dropped the poison in the well during one of their attacks."
- Where were you before everyone became ill?
- "Checking and oiling weapons in the longhouse. Bad for the bandits, when they attacked. Still didn't keep them from poisoning the well."
- Everyone was poisoned before the first attack. / The well was poisoned before the bandits attacked.
- "If you say so. It's been a blur. Can't even remember when I last slept."
When you tell Moramat about what Rakhaz said, she'll have suspicions and encourages you to confront her:
- "What is it now?"
- You lied to me. You weren't checking weapons in the longhouse.
- "Now that I think about it, I checked the weapons the day before. The day everyone got sick, I worked here, in the forge."
- Shakul worked the forge herself that day.
- "Fine. I'm the one who poisoned the stronghold.
But what I did was for the good of my people." - You poisoned them for their own good?
- "None of my bloodkin died from the poison. It only made people sick, just as Gargak showed me.
His brother isn't fit to rule a privy, let alone our tribe." - Moramat wants to speak with you.
- "I'm sure she does.
Don't believe everything she's told you. Gargak is no monster, and Chief Dushkul would be nothing without his wives." - You can tell Moramat yourself.
With that:
- Rakhaz: "I don't think so."
Rakhaz will run off and disappear in a puff of smoke.
A Chief ConcernEdit
If you agree to inspect the mine for Gargak, Rakhaz will meet you there.
- Rakhaz: "Didn't expect to see you again."
Speaking to her to proceed through the mine:
- "I'm glad you came to your senses about Gargak. He asked me to verify any ore we find, so here I am.
Let's get this over with." - Let's go.
Speaking to her again:
- "Any ore will be back as far we can go. The walls near the entrance are all played out."
Find and examine an ore vein and she'll comment:
- Rakhaz: "What do we have here?"
- Rakhaz: "This is iron ore! I'll get some samples. Go, tell Gargak that with this ore, we'll have the finest weapons in Grahtwood."
Speaking to her again before heading back to Gargak:
- "You should get back to Gargak as soon as possible. He'll want to hear what we found."
