Researcher Fendar is a Dark Elf researcher who can be encountered on the Telvanni Peninsula. He is curious about a sleeping Wamasu. The encounter doesn't end well for him.

From a distance, Resarcher Fendar can be heard to say:
- Researcher Fendar: "A sleeping wamasu! This is such good fortune. I must jot down some research notes."
- Researcher Fendar: "A wamasu! What a wonderful opportunity for some research."
- Researcher Fendar: "Such a magnificent creature."
When you approach him, he will tell you about wamasu:
- Researcher Fendar: "Oh! Fellow researcher. Look at what I found."
- Researcher Fendar: "Wamasu are such misunderstood creatures."
- Researcher Fendar: "They're known as aggressive, volatile beasts. But look, this one is harmless."
- Researcher Fendar: "Just extraordinary! Such peaceful creatures after all!"
- Researcher Fendar: "Oh hello there! You're a gentle beast … aren't you?"
The wamasu then kills him and becomes hostile.
