  1. Find Vimy.
  2. Rescue captured expedition members.
  3. Recover the Broken Dwemer Control Rod.
  4. Defeat Artisan Lenarmen.
  5. Find the Bthark Prism.

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

As you approach Nchuleftingth, you'll find Neramo standing outside the ruins. Neramo says that his rival, Artisan Lenarmen, believes the ruins are the Heart of Lorkhan's resting place. He explains that his rival ambushed his expedition group, and stole and Neramo's control rod. Lenarmen and his Bronzefist Mercenaries are now using Neramo's control rod to control the Dwarven constructs inside the ruins. He asks you to enter the ruins to find his associate, Vimy Lacroix, and rescue the members of his expedition.

Head into the ruins and make your way to the far end of the hall. You will find Vimy tending to Daren Hlen and his sister, Brerayne Hlen. Speak to Vimy then head back towards the entrance.

From the room you're in, head back towards the entrance and take the first left. Travel down the wooden platforms. Once you arrive at the bottom, head south and kill the Bronzefist mercenaries holding Thollidor hostage. Once Thollidor is free, head east and you will find Tyrnea Stone surrounded by Dwarven automatons. Defeat them and set her free.

Continue east and enter the door on the left to the Nchuleftingth Bailey. Head through the double doors at the end of the hall. Once at the bottom of the stairs take a left. Follow the path and enter the door to the Lavaworks. Climb up the ramp to the left then down the ramp the right. Defeat the Bronzefist goons guarding Kasouda.

Head south down the ramp and enter the control room door on the left. Upon entering, Vimy Lacroix will enter behind you, and warn you not to take the control rod yet. She will then deactivate the Dwemer traps, allowing you safe access to the container. Exit the room and continue up the ramp to the south to a ledge at the top of the room. Nchuleftingth's skyshard is at the end of the ledge. If you already have the skyshard, take a left into the hallway up the stairs and speak to Neramo.

Enter the door behind Neramo. Head south then climb the stairs to the left, and enter the Nchuleftingth Cathedra. Head down the stairs and defeat Artisan Lenarmen, then enter the doors to the north. Take the Bthark Prism from the Dwarven strongbox. At this point, you have the option to head for the surface or look around the room with Neramo and Vimy. Once you're done looking, around exit the ruins through the door to the left. Meet Neramo back at his camp and give him the prism to finish the quest.

NotesEdit

  • The rest of the expedition won't exist at their camp inside the ruins before starting the quest.
    • The captive members won't exist in the deeper parts of the ruins before starting the quest or reaching the related objectives.
  • The container holding the control rod won't exist in the control room before starting the quest or reaching the related objective.
  • In the sanctum, it's possible to exit back to Vvardenfell without acquiring the relic, though once outside, the door will be locked, so doing so isn't advised.
  • The optional items in the sanctum can only be investigated in a specific sequence one after the other, instead of when getting close to them in any order.
  • During the objectives after acquiring the prism and upon returning to the surface, the descriptions are written as if Neramo and Vimy aren't right behind you as followers and rather still on the surface, and unaware of what transpired.
    • When speaking directly to Neramo at the camp, he will ask if you have the prism in the dialogue, despite being with you when you looted it.

BugsEdit

  • Vimy Lacroix has the follower icon above her while in the control room, while not being one. ?
  • The entire container holding the control rod disappears when looting only the rod. ?

  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
