Atherios Adirion

Atherios Adirion is a Dark Elf smith selling his wares from his shop in Alt Bosara.

For armor, he wears a heavy chitin cuirass, a set of heavy chitin greaves, a pair of heavy chitin boots, a pair of bonemold pauldrons, and a pair of bonemold bracers. For clothing, he wears a common shirt with matching pants and belt. He wields an adamantium warhammer, and carries some of the weapons and repair hammers that he keeps stocked in his shop.

Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows no spells.

DialogueEdit

  • Greeting:
"Good day to you, %PCClass. You look like you could use a weapon, no?"
  • Alt Bosara:
"It is a beautiful town, without a doubt, but the people should not be so naive. Ammar, Akamora, Hlersis: they're all held by the Indoril and they're not as far from Alt Bosara as you think. Within days, the Indoril could arrive here with a force hell bent upon slaying us all. Contrary to what the people here believe, Alt Bosara is not as safe as she might seem."
  • Background:
"I am %Name, weaponsmith. I was born in Port Telvannis, where I served as a retainer for an ambitious Telvanni Spellwright. Along with other retainers, I was sent to capture bases in the Mephalan Vales. The Indoril held most of them. I have fought some pretty rough battles with the Indoril, and I can tell you they're not as honorable or trustworthy as you might think. They fight dirty. That's how they murdered my master."
  • Continue: "After he was killed, I retired and became a weaponsmith. I still wanted to play a part in the fight against House Indoril, so I moved to Alt Bosara. I figured Master Vaerin would be the most likely person to oppose the Indoril."
"Long ago there was an evil and destructive dragon that roamed these lands. It had already slain countless warriors of the other Great Houses. One man, however, a Telvanni spellsword with an unknown name, was different from the rest. In an epic and heroic battle he succeeded at decapitating the mighty beast. The headless body crashed into the sea creating the peninsula seen today. And the head, magically situated into its current position, was turned to stone."
  • Master Vaerin:
"I have no quarrel with his stance on the Temple, although I would prefer it if he'd shift his attention to the Indoril. They are the real enemy that needs to be opposed."
  • my trade:
"I'm a weaponsmith. I can repair most weapons and I can make my own iron or steel weapons. Business here in Alt Bosara is good; I earn a fair amount of gold by occasionally selling a weapon or two to the civilians in town, but most of my money comes from a long-standing contract with the guards; I am the only one who has the right to sell the guards weapons. Needless to say, this stability of income is more than just a blessing."
