Erethys Omavel is a Dark Elf and the operator of Teyn's lighthouse. With the building being so far from the town itself, Erethys complains of loneliness. He'll offer you a good mazte on your arrival.
If you happen to have read the Logbook of the Bufflehead on the vessel named Bufflehead in Fort Ancylis's harbor, you may recognize the 'good mazte' as a phrase used in that logbook's report of smuggler activity. Said report mentions that the boat of a smuggler named Verenduin was found adrift without an occupant. Indeed, further investigation of the lighthouse's basement reveals a number of corpses, including the dead body of Verenduin himself. Erethys himself will confront you before you can leave, and has this to say:
"I see you've found my little gutting room. Oh, don't look so judgmental! A man needs a hobby lest he go utterly insane... And it's not like I was doing anything bad. I was ridding the good people of Teyn of smugglers and vagrants. I was doing our community a service, really. A service they must never learn of, naturally. They wouldn't understand."
Rather than permit you to escape, he will elect to kill you there and then, and must be killed in return or escaped from if you are to survive.
