Tarom is a Redguard priest and a Theurgist in the Imperial Cult. He heads the Grand Chapel of Akatosh in Firewatch, and has a number of quests for Imperial Cult members of all ranks. He has an enquiring mind, attending lectures at the College of Firewatch, and conducting research into long-lost holy artifacts. Yet he has one particular and enduring regret:
"Since the Simulacrum, Shalath Abkala and her army of dead have tormented the people of Firewatch. For a time, in those dark days, I took charge of the city, but I could not retake the dead."
Assuming that you prove yourself in every way, Tarom will ultimately request that you put an end to Shalath, and end that lingering nightmare.
