Quest-Related EventsEdit
On the DoorstepEdit
When you first approach Greenhill, Halindor will come to you needing some assistance:
- "Help! Help! Something's wrong!"
Hearing him out:
- "Whoa, there! Watch yourself! Something is terribly wrong in Greenhill."
- What happened?
- "I just … I just got back to town from a trip. I was conducting business for my wife. She runs the town! Very important!
Anyway! There are strangers about. And they're … they're carrying things!"
While you speak to him he'll stumble and weave as if he's intoxicated:
- Have you been drinking?
- "Yes! I have! What does that have to do with anything? Look, these strangers … they had an evil look about them. And whatever they were carrying, it gave off waves of … of evil!
Please, you have to help poor Gonlas! I saw them go into his house!" - All right, I'll go look for Gonlas.
After freeing Gonlas from the power of the crystal, you'll exit the house to see Ezreba speaking to Halindor:
- Ezreba : "Good to see you again Halindor. Make sure to check on your wife soon."
Speak to him and he'll tell you:
- "Did you find … erm … Gonlas! Yes, you were going to see about the strangers."
- I found Gonlas. I freed him from some kind of ritual.
- "A what now? Gonlas got trapped in a ritual? Why would he be doing a ritual in his house? He's not even a mage!"
- There was a crystal, and some kind of dark spirit hanging over him.
- "A crystal … Oblivion, no! I thought they were jewel peddlers. I've seen crystals all over town. If those crystals are what's causing the strangeness … I have to find my wife! Please, will you do me another favor?"
- What do you need me to do?
- "Check the other houses in town. Look for Tashpir in the next house on, Lothiel and Ganniel in the one across the square. My place is that last one on the row. Meet me there when you're done."
- I'll meet you there.
You can ask him a few questions before checking on his friends.
- "Thank you so much! Has anyone ever told you you're pretty great? Because you are."
- Who were you speaking to when I came out?
- "Hmm? Oh, that was Ezreba. She's a good friend of Bowenas, my wife. She was so nice, she was asking me how Bowenas is."
- I thought you said everyone was acting strangely?
- "Oh, yeah. Ezreba seems fine. Whatever's happening, she seems to be all right."
Check on the neighbors and you'll find Halindor in front of his home, in distress:
- Halindor : "Bowenas is gone! Someone took her!"
Speak with him.
- "They took Bowenas! My wife is gone!"
- Tell me what happened.
- "I got home and saw Bowenas talking to Ezreba. As soon as Ezreba saw me, she shouted. Two hooded men jumped me out of nowhere. One of the men slammed me up against the wall and they left, carrying Bowenas. She called for help, but …."
- Where did they go?
- "I don't know! I didn't see where they went. Maybe … try looking at Ezreba's house? She lives in one of the Khajiiti homes past the fields. I'll … I'll go look at the temple. If she managed to get away, it's the best place to hide."
- I'll find her, Halindor. I'll go to Ezreba's house.
Speak to him before leaving him and he'll jump:
- "Whoa, there! Watch yourself! Something is terribly wrong in Greenhill."
Enter the Greenhill Catacombs and you'll find him slumped against the wall:
- "Ugh … my head."
- What happened to you?
- "I was looking through the temple ruins and somebody jumped me. By the Green, my head hurts worse than the time I won the troll arena jackpot and we … erm.
Bowenas! Did you find her? Is she safe?" - Yes, Bowenas is safe. Did you see anyone? Did you see Ezreba?
- "Yes! She ran past me just a moment ago. I called to her, but she just kept running. Heard her crying as she ran."
- Get out of here as soon as you can. I'm going after Ezreba.
- "I will. Just … be careful down there. The people in robes, the cultists—they're everywhere!"
- Thank you, Halindor.
Speaking to him again:
- "Don't worry about me. I'll get going as soon as the damned walls stop moving."
Return with Ezreba to see justice and you'll find Halindor and the Treethane near the center of town. Halindor has a drink in his hand:
- "You're alive! Cheers! I didn't know if I'd ever see you again."
If you exit out of the conversation with Bowenas before turning in the quest, he will alternatively say:
- "I'm so glad to be out of there. I never thought I'd see the sun again!"
If you speak to him after the quest, he says:
- "Ahh, it's good to have a cool ale in my hand again. Such a bad day!"
Ezreba's FateEdit
Treethane Bowenas will ask you to get the opinion of the rest of the town in order to decide Ezreba's fate. Speak to Halindor and he'll say:
- What do you think I should do, Halindor?
- "Oh, you know. I say that the Green didn't give us all this to hold grudges. Give her another chance, you know? Besides, Bo would miss her if she wasn't here."
Speaking to him again before deciding Ezreba's fate:
- "I heard what she said. She's a good friend, Bowenas. Must be very hard for her."
Speaking to him again if you made a decision but haven't turn in the quest yet:
- "I trust you, traveler. I know you've made the right decision."
After completing the objective, you can speak to him again. His response differs depending on your choice during the quest.

The Fires of DuneEdit
If you help Greenhill before arriving in Dune, he'll be there to greet you:
- "Thank you for your help in Greenhill."
NotesEdit
- Halindor refers to his wife Bowenas simply as a friend during the quest "Ezreba's Fate".
