Linyia is a High Elf grand Tribute master and member of the Roister's Club who can be found next to the entrance to the ruins in the Shada's Tear in Craglorn.(map) She is one of the founders of the club and the creators of the game.
Location ClueEdit
Each of the Founders has gone into seclusion, so they must be tracked down from some hint or rumor that can be gotten after The Final Round has been completed. For Linyia and Nhorhim, they're from Gelekh.
- "Hard to believe, but I finally got some help around here--and you'll never guess from who. Brahgas!
The little scoundrel finally decided to work for a living. I don't want to scare him off honest work, but I'm not going to go easy on him either!" - Gelekh, you talk to a lot of people. Have any of the Roister's Club Founders visited the hall?
- "Founders? You may have noticed we don't serve a lot of elite clientele here. If a Founder came rambling through, I think they'd stick out like a broken tusk.
I do hear rumors now and then, though." - What have you heard?
- "An Imperial swung through a few weeks back. One of those sandy types who like digging for old teacups and such. He told me about a card-playing scholar he met in Craglorn--weird lady rooting around in ruins for ancient games.
Might be worth a look." - Have you heard any other rumors?
- "Oh sure. Heard one about the Duchess that'll knock you flat on your--oh, you mean about more Founders.
Some Nord told me about a blind Tribute player in Eastmarch. Said he tried to cheat, but the guy knew somehow. Witchcraft, I wager. Be careful."

DialogueEdit
- "Ha! I cracked it! This smaller pawn serves as a tomb marker. It's just a simple matter of—wait. Who are you?
I'm trying to reassemble an ancient Yokudan parlor game, and you're standing in my light! What is it you want, exactly?" - What are you doing?
- "I'm doing what I do best—breathing new life into long forgotten games. I freely admit it's an obsession. A lucrative one!
Ancient Yokudan games have a charming asymmetry to them. Perhaps they'll inspire a Tales of Tribute deck some day!" - You're one of the creators of Tales of Tribute?
- "I'm a Roister's Club Founder, so yes—I'm a creator … of a sort. I consult on strategy, deck composition, and the like.
Do you play? I'm curious about the current dominant strategies. And I do mean dominant. I've no interest in the uninspired." - Let's play. I'll show you a winning strategy.
If you are not experienced enough to challenge her:
- "Hmm. No, I think not. You carry yourself well, but I've not heard of you before. I have too much work to do to fritter away the hours with a journeyman player.
Gain some more experience. We'll play when you've got something to teach me."
If you are deemed experienced enough:
- "Hmm. You do strike me as the worldly sort. There's an ease to the way you handle the cards. Yes, you're a master all right.
Let's get to it, then! Show me what strategies Tamriel's finest have cooked up!" - Let's play Tribute.
After the victory:
- Linyia: "Marvelous! An unexpected strategy executed to perfection. I'd say that's earned you my respect. And a gift from the Club!"
If you choose to play Tribute with her again:
- "Amusements like Tales of Tribute have many lives, my friend, but hey [sic] don't truly blossom until players take the reins.
You find the seams—the imperfections, and you craft entirely new ways of playing. I'll never grow tired of watching games grow!" - Let's play Tribute again.
DeckEdit
Linyia uses a variant of the Red Eagle, King of the Reach deck named Grand Master Linyia. The deck's Patron works exactly like Red Eagle, King of the Reach, and is made up of three Maormer Cutter cards, two Murder of Crows cards, two Pool of Shadows cards, three Reinforcements cards, two Ring's Guile cards, two Shadow's Slumber cards, two Squawking Oratory cards, two Toll of Silver cards, and one Twilight Revelry.
