Out in the wilderness or near the road, you may find a Traveler tied up and calling for help. As you approach, a number of bandits jump out and attack. Defeating them grants you experience points and frees the Traveler, who thanks you. This is part of a World Event.

From a distance, they'll call for assistance:
- "Help me!"
- "Help!"
- "Can anybody help me!"
- "Over here, hurry!"
When you get close enough, the traveler will apologize for luring you in.
- "I'm sorry, they forced me to do it! I had no choice!"
After you defeat the cutthroats, the Traveler will thank you as they run away:
- "I thought I'd never escape."
