Detailed WalkthroughEdit
Odd-JobsEdit
Ratagos' first task is to deliver a letter to the Telvanni council in Port Telvannis. He tells you to take it to Vero Renim, the "public face" of the council.
Since you're heading to Port Telvannis, Ratagos also wants you to attempt two other tasks: first, to talk to some of the commoners there, to try and encourage support for the Temple, and second, to heal any slaves in the slave market who have contracted diseases.
Special DeliveryEdit
From Ranyon-ruhn to Port Telvannis is quite a long journey. The most straightforward way to make it is to take the silt strider to Tel Ouada and then catch the river strider to Port Telvannis.
Vero Renim can be found in the Telvanni Council House but is not exactly pleased to see you. He takes your letter and hands over a terse reply, but also instructs you to tell Ratagos to keep out of Telvanni affairs.
Healing the SickEdit
There are 21 slaves in the local slave market. The only way to find out who needs curing is to go from cage to cage and talk to each slave. The unfortunate disease carriers will ask for your help straight away. To cure them you can either hand over a Potion of Cure Common Disease or cast any kind of cure disease spell on them.
The four slaves with diseases are Haj' Ralah, Lucius Chranis, Massn-Lug and Noribus. Cure them in any way you see fit.
Spreading the WordEdit
The population of Port Telvannis is large and varied, and there are 23 commoners to be found in total. Simply talk to them about the Tribunal Temple and, as long as their disposition towards you is 50 or higher, they will agree to consider supporting the temple in the future. Commoners who are in House Telvanni react slightly differently: if you have cured the slaves in the slave market, they will agree to support the Temple no matter what their disposition is.
You don't need to talk to all 23 commoners: the highest reward can be achieved by talking to just ten.
The Rewards of VirtueEdit
Return to Ratagos and tell him about your exploits in the Telvanni Isles. For delivering the message, he gives you two Scroll of Nerusi's Lockjaw - scrolls of silence - and his disposition jumps five points. You also gain two faction reputation points for the Temple.
Next, he asks you many slaves you cured. The reward depends on the number you managed to cure:
Number | Gold | Faction Rep. | Disposition |
---|---|---|---|
0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
1-3 | 50 | 1 | 3 |
4 | 100 | 1 | 5 |
Lastly, he asks you how many commoners you were able to convince. Again, the reward depends upon your efforts:
Number | Gold | Faction Rep. | Disposition | Other |
---|---|---|---|---|
0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
1 | 20 | 0 | 2 | |
2-4 | 30 | 0 | 2 | |
5-9 | 75 | 1 | 4 | St. Felm's Fire ring |
10+ | 200 | 1 | 5 | Robe of Llothis' Piety |

10 | Ratagos wants me to take a message to the Parliament of Bugs in Port Telvannis. I should go to the Council Chambers and deliver his message to Vero Renim, the 'public face' of the Council. In addition, I should attempt to talk to some of the commoners in town, to try and encourage support for the Temple among the Telvanni populace. Finally, I should also go to the slave market and show compassion by healing any slaves there who have contracted diseases on their voyage to Port Telvannis. | |
20 | I have delivered Ratagos' message to Vero Renim, who rather brusquely dismissed me, and told me that I should remind Ratagos not to intrude into Telvanni affairs in the future. | |
30 | I have spoken to a commoner about the Temple. If I talk to more, and successfully convince them, my reward from Ratagos will likely be greater. | |
50 | I have cured a diseased slave at the slave market. | |
70 | I spoke to Ratagos who rewarded me for what I had done in Port Telvannis. |
