User talk:Rick

I'm going to try some oblivion tools on fallout tomorrow, specifically BSA files. If that doesn't work, would it be wise of me to count on your support in hacking the datafiles of this game? After all, it's even unknown if there will be a map editor! As far as I can see, the engine is the same.. If there is another way you'd prefer I contact you, please do tell. :) - h3x 83.109.47.103 22:57, 29 October 2008 (EDT) (i'll register in the morning)

You certainly got my attention, I was considering it but wasn't sure if I should bother to do anything. —Rick 06:28, 30 October 2008 (EDT)

Seems like the BSA unpackers from tesiv work with fo3... Anyway, I'm sure the modding community would love anything anyone could do for them, so feel free or whatever. I'm trying to learn how to do these things myself at the moment.. H3x 20:14, 30 October 2008 (EDT)

Save File Format NotesEdit

I wanted to let you know that I moved the page of notes you'd assembled on the save file format to a user subpage, namely User:Rick/Save_File_Format_Notes, because it's a more appropriate location for an individual editor's set of notes. --NepheleTalk 04:13, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Show previewEdit

Rick, could you try to avoid making all these small edits, which could've been done in one edit? These all need to be patrolled. Thank you ~ Dwarfmp 16:18, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Sorry about that, a bit rusty on wiki editing. I'll take note of that. —Rick 16:20, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
If you want, you can create a sandbox where you can create the page, and then move that to the actual page when you've got the desired content. These edits would also have to be patrolled, so show preview is something we appreciate, but that way we keep the article's page history compact. That's just a suggestion though. Thanks for your work! ~ Dwarfmp 16:25, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
I'll do the sandbox thing, I tend to write things out as I'm doing research so it's handy for me to save rather than have many editors open if I end up on other points. Again, sorry for the commit flood. —Rick 16:28, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Something to chew onEdit

You have been given a cookie!

Your dedication and diligence to the wiki has not gone unnoticed. A user has seen the progress you've made, and has given you a cookie because of it. Good work! The user had the following to say:

You deserve this because multiple projects have been accelerated by several hours thanks to you r work on the wiki and comments in IRC. Without your help, there would probably have been several "This is taking longer than I thought" messages on various pages. Hopefully - and it's still not guaranteed - this will no longer be the case. rpeh •TCE 19:26, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
