- Wall of Elements: Slam your staff down to create an elemental barrier in front of you, dealing [744 / 752 / 760 / 768] Magic Damage to enemies in the target area every 1 second. Wall of Fire deals additional damage to Burning enemies. Wall of Frost costs more, but snares and reduces armor against Chilled enemies and grants damage shields. - Unstable Wall of Elements: Create an unstable elemental barrier in front of you, dealing 768 Magic Damage to enemies in the target area every 1 second before exploding for an additional [3176 / 3212 / 3246 / 3281] Magic Damage. Unstable Wall of Fire deals additional damage to Burning enemies. Unstable Wall of Frost costs more, but snares and reduces armor against Chilled enemies and grants damage shields. Unstable Wall of Storms sets Concussed enemies Off Balance.

Wall of Elements creates a path of elemental damage that will affect all enemies within its range. That damage will be either Fire Damage, Frost Damage, or Shock Damage depending on the type of staff you have equipped. The name changes based on the staff type as well:
- Wall of Fire deals extra damage to enemies with the Burning status.
- Wall of Frost reduces the movement speed and resistances of targets with the Chilled status and gives a damage shield to you and your allies.
- Wall of Storms sets off-balance targets with the Concussed status.
The Unstable Wall of Elements morph:
deals additional damage to all nearby enemies when the effect ends, while the Elemental Blockade morph:
increases the size and duration of the effect.
NotesEdit
- The area of effect is a long rectangular path in front of the caster. This makes it particularly effective for melee-based enemies who tend to run directly at you. Casting in a narrow hallway or other constrained space is a good strategy, as there is almost no chance of them avoiding the affected area.
- Only one Wall of Elements may be active at a time. Casting a second one will cause the first to expire early. This is particularly of note if using the Unstable Wall of Elements morph, as the explosion for the first casting will occur early if the spell is overridden in this way.
- Wall of Frost and its morphs apply Minor Breach against Chilled targets.
- Elemental Blockade is a recommended morph for the Gleaming Champion and Beast Caller builds.
- The Crushing Wall set from Maelstrom Arena increases the damage done by each tick of Wall of Elements, including the final detonation of Unstable Wall of Elements.
- Each tick of Wall of Elements can trigger the enchantment of the staff used to cast it, even if the player switches to the other bar.

- Blockade of Elements: Fixed an issue where the visual effects from this morph was fading too early.
- Unstable Wall of Elements: Increased the damage from the final explosion from this morph by 75%. We also fixed an issue where the visual effects of the explosion from this morph did not match the actual damage.
- Penetrating Magic: Fixed an issue where this passive ability's Spell Penetration bonus was not applying to Wall of Elements.
- Fixed an issue where some weapon abilities (Blade Cloak, Volley, and Wall of Elements) could not proc Weapon Enchantments.
- Adjusted the order of the Active Abilities in this skill line. They now unlock in the following order:
- Force Shock
- Wall of Elements
- Destructive Touch
- Weakness to Elements

- Fixed an issue where alchemical poisons were causing certain persistent area of effect abilities (such as Volley or Wall of Elements) to terminate early.
- Added new icons for each of the elemental variants of Destructive Touch, Wall of Elements, and Impulse.
- Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs were not displaying correct tooltip information in their tooltip headers.
- Fixed an issue where Wall of Frost and its morphs were not snaring enemies further than 5 meters away from the beginning of the wall.
- Wall of Frost: Reduced the snare potency of this ability and its morphs to 40% from 60%.
- Increased the duration of this ability and its morphs to 8 seconds from 6 seconds.
- These abilities will now rank up in damage per rank, rather than cost reduction.
- Decreased the cost to 3024 from 3510.
- Decreased the damage per tick by approximately 33%.
- Elemental Blockade: Increased the duration from this ability to 9 seconds from 8 seconds, which ranks up to 12 seconds. It also no longer reduces in cost per rank.
- Unstable Wall of Elements:
- This morph no longer reduces in cost per rank, but increases in explosion damage.
- Increased the damage of the explosion by approximately 94%.
- Fixed an issue where the final DoT tick was being consumed by the explosion.
- Increased the base duration of this ability and its morphs to 10 seconds, up from 8.
- Increased base cost to 4950, up from 3024.
- Reduced the damage per tick by approximately 18%.
- Reduced the cost of this ability and its morphs to 3780, down from 4950.
- Fixed numerous issues involving visual effects with this ability and its morphs.
- The Frost version of this ability now applies a Damage Shield to you and 5 nearby group members that absorbs projectiles.
- Wall of Frost and its morphs will now cost 4050 Magicka at base, rather than 3780.
- Fixed an issue where the Shock version of this ability and its morphs was not capped at hitting 6 targets, despite having auxiliary debuffs.

- Developer Comment: In efforts to help reduce the amount of passive crowd control in the game, we're shifting the power of Wall of Frost's control to a snare, rather than an immobilize, while helping it gain some more use cases in PvE parts of the game.
